One Year

I have officially been in Australia for a whole year and here's a yearly update.

I have officially extended my stay in Australia for at least three years. I have successfully been accepted and enrolled into the University of Sydney Law School for a Juris Doctor degree in Law. Meanwhile I have apply for a partnership visa with Amanda to gain Australian residency, which was a very big pain in the ass to apply for. I am studying under the bridging part of the application for the Partnership visa, which will take two years for them to decide. We are living in Mosman and plan on staying in our current apartment. I've been living the cliche bar tender attending law school lifestyle. As of today, I haven't been killed by anything poisonous but have stepped on many bindis.

I've learned many things about Australia.
There's no Fosters and they've never heard of it.
Australians have a gambling problem (Every major bar has a gambling room, betting stations, the news posts the points for sports events, Anzac day is a national holiday where everyone plays two up).
Sydney's awesome.
Shootings can be prevented through laws.
There's no Ozone layer above Australia and the sun is hot.
Koala's aren't bears.
No one tips besides Americans.

Now since I am starting law school in March looks like I won't be returning to the states for awhile. Everyone's welcome to visit and crash at my place (as long as I actually know you).
