Now I've seen the video and I have to say, that wasn't police brutality. The Aussies have no idea of what police brutality is; they need to look up Rodney King then they'll be happy with their gentle cops. Or they should see the cops operate in Seaside, NJ. Also the punk was shirtless and acting like a moron when the cops picked him up. He further refused to be arrested peacefully so they had to subdue him. Even after having handcuffs on him he was thrashing about. It's hard to distinguish but when the camera focuses on the blood it looks like the kid tried to kick at the officer. He is being charged with assault of an officer. Look, if someone assaulted me I would toss the 80 pound wet punk to the ground, if I was that officer I'd do the same. One thing you should learn growing up, don't fuck with the police. On top of the cops having a cell phone recording the incident in their faces, they have that annoying woman in the background rattling off her civil liberties 101 course from Uni. Not only was the kid resisting, they were provoking the officer, good idea lets piss him off more even after resisting arrest.
This cop is what Australia needs more of, watch this video of a shoplifter chasing cops around with wine bottles and a metal pole. If he tried this little stunt in NY he would've been dropped, hell he would've been shot for throwing candy bars never mind chasing the two officers out of the store. (Side note: pepper spray is called Capsicum spray). The kid from the Mardi Gras incident learned a life lesson: when you're handcuffed by an officer five times your size don't fuck around.
